Weaknesses:
Uncertainty when gaining permissions from government and Indigenous communities.
High capital cost of hydro-electric projects.
Current collective bargaining issues.
Opportunities:
Exporting excess renewable energy to the USA or other provinces.
Increasing demand and availability for electric vehicles.
Increasing technological development of solar and wind electric generators.
Threats:
Effects of climate change limiting natural resources.
Effects of drought.
Possibility of energy shortage if province quickly changes to use of electric vehicles.
Sudden loss of infrastructure due to natural disasters.
