The Finnisher is gone like the Finnish Flash

It was late on a Friday night and rumors were swirling like a menacing Manitoba blizzard. Sure there had been trade requests but those were brushed aside and dismissed so as not to think about the inevitable. You try to sort through the clutter on the twitter machine to find out if these rumors are credible and sure enough the rumors have originated from reliable sources. These rumors predict that when you wake up the next morning your favorite Jet, Winnipeg's favorite Jet, will no longer be part of our team. The next morning you wake up hoping all of it was fake, but when you pick up your phone the news  "LAINE" and "TRADED" hits you like an avalanche. The news is hard to process but you know that hockey is a business and this is probably for the best. However, objective thinking is especially difficult with the overtime hattrick against the Leafs playing over and over again in your head. Once you come to grips with the news, a little excitement seeps into your thoughts. The Jets will finally have two elite centers, something that fans have been wanting ever since Schiefele set foot in BellMTS Place almost eight years ago. That evening as things began to calm like the cessation of a winter storm, anticipation about what this team will look like with two big, talented centers began to emerge as the Jets soared to a big win against the Senators.
