Hockey is back! (Soon)

Finally Covid is over enough that you can go back to a Jets game, its been almost a year since you've seen so many geared up fans all in one spot. You can smell the distinct scent of "Jets Game"- buttery popcorn and fully loaded Jet dogs, but you can also sense the excitement of everyone cause its their first game back to the arena too. Many of these fans have experienced some sort of crisis in the last year and this is one of the first steps to things returning to normal. You reflect for a few moments, during warm ups, on the past year and feel a wave of emotions - relief that it's over, sadness for the people who lost something, anticipation for the opportunities ahead, and excitement for the game you finally get to watch. You stand up for the anthems, yell "True North," and take a sip of your Tims coffee; now you're fully ready to enjoy some NHL hockey.
